Sue was born and raised in the Chicago area. She attended Western Michigan University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Personnel. She taught Business classes at Lake Michigan College and was later a school counselor for high school students. She is married and has two grown daughters. Before dedicating herself to being a full-time stay at home mom to her two daughters, Susan operated an art business where she sold original oil paintings to a variety of clients.
Susan is currently the President of the Susan L. Klimaitis Foundation where she actively supports several organizations. Interests closest to Susan’s heart include outreach programs for underprivileged children and homeless mothers, including Providence House, and Faubourgh Ballet, and interdisciplinary healing and health programs including Beacon Foundation and Innerlight Healing Center. She also actively supports the United States Racquetball Association, as her husband is an avid racquetball player.
